Curupira

In the deep lush forests of the coasts we hear a knock on the trees before every rainstorm. Can they sustain the coming storm? A small figure keeps on knocking and the flaming red of its hair shines in the green surroundings.  It is a boy, one who cares for the forest and its inhabitant and protects them from harm, he is called Curupira.

When a hunter comes and kills more than he needs he may start to hear things, things that weren’t supposed to be there. The boy-guardian summons the sounds and plays with the head of those who threat his home. He brings them panic and despair with confusing sounds and trapping footprints, his backward feet leave a misleading trail and turn hunter into prey.

To run is possible as he is a boy after all, curiosity is his weakness and fooled he can be. Although if you stay in his area it may all be in vain as he aids nature, nature aids him. So we keep the forests green to save us from woe.
